Abhishek has over 8 years combined experience in private equity investing and investment banking. Prior to BanyanTree, he was with Motilal Oswal Private Equity (MOPE) where he gained significant experience in investment sourcing, transaction structuring, deal negotiations, due diligence and monitoring. During his stint at MOPE he was associated with the investment and monitoring of 4-5 portfolio companies of the fund. Before MOPE, he led a team for five members for tracking the oil and gas industry in the Asia-Pacific geography at JP Morgan‘s investment banking research unit. Post-graduation, he worked for a year at Citibank with their Financial Institutions Group focussing on credit rating analysis for FIG trades.
Abhishek is a Chartered Accountant (CA) where he secured the 19th rank across India in his CA Final. He has also successfully completed all three levels of the CFA® program of Chartered Financial Analyst® Institute, USA. Abhishek graduated in commerce from Narsee Monjee College, Mumbai University.
