Uttam Galva Mettalics Limited (UGML) is a part of Uttam Galva Group-promoted by Miglani family, who are also sponsors of Uttam Galva Steel Limited (“UGSL”), which has tied-up with Arcelor Mittal in 2009 for equity and product development. UGML was set up in 2007 based out of Nagpur (Central India) and commenced operations in FY2010. UGML operates an integrated steel plant with installed capacity of 0.6 million tonnes per annum (tpa) of steel making capacities, alongwith 0.5 million tpa coke oven plant and 18 MW of captive power plant. BanyanTree has investment in UGML across both funds. BanyanTree has a representation on the Board.
